Brief description: Naihanchi Shodan is performed on a straight line with the practicioner moving left and right.

  • Bow
  • Yoi
  • Look to the right
  • Step across to the right
  • Step out
  • Left hand tucks, right performs a backhand
  • Elbow slap
  • Flow
  • Left hand down blocks to the left
  • Right hand punches left into a naihanchi punch. At the same time, the left hand tucks.
  • Step across to the left
  • Step out
  • Right hand does an outside block
  • Double block
  • Left hand face punches.
  • Right hand goes into a naihanchi punch as left elbow comes down to right wrist.
  • Kick the right leg with the left foot. Strike to the left. Come back.
  • Kick the left leg with the right foot. Strike to the right.
  • Flow
  • Double side punch
  • Right hand tucks. Left hand opens and rotates.
  • Elbow slap
  • Flow
  • Right hand downblocks to the right
  • Left hand naihanchi punches to the right as the right hand tucks.
  • Step across to the right
  • Step out
  • Left hand does an outside block
  • Double block
  • Right hand face punches.
  • Left hand goes into a naihanchi punch as right elbow comes down to left wrist.
  • Kick left leg with right foot, strike to the right, come back.
  • Kick right leg with the left foot, strike to the left.
